Siegebreaker has seen some changes in 1.0.3, but in my opinion overall he is actually EASIER to kill, and here’s why.
Patch notes in 1.0.3 for Siegebreaker:
Siegebreaker
- General
- Overall damage has been reduced
- No longer vulnerable to Confuse and Charm effects
- Will now drop a health globe every 25% health mark (i.e. at 75%, 50%, and 25% health)
- Now enrages after 4 minutes
- In Inferno difficulty, Siegebreaker will now gain the Reflects Damage affix
His overall damage is reduced, so this means you have MUCH more room for error and can tank quite a few of his hits with no problem. Reflect damage should not be an issue if you have +life on hit gear. The health globe dropping is a nice bonus, and the enrage timer should not be an issue at all if you’re able to kill the elites to get five stacks of nephalem valor before fighting him.

Strategy
Siegebreaker is really quite a simple tank and spank fight. Try to stay on his side of behind him when fighting him. Otherwise just keep your cooldowns available and ready to pop incase you get hit by a big attack.
Ground stomp
He’ll rear up and do a large AOE ground stomp from time to time. This is very easy to avoid and you should just run away as soon as he rears up. Infact it’s good policy to just run away anytime he starts an animation, it’s simple and should keep you from taking much damage at all.
Cleave
He’ll cleave the ground infront of him for three attacks, these are quite damaging and could possibly kill you if you get caught in all three. If you find yourself caught in this combo pop serenity immediately to just tank the damage.
Charge
He does this very rarely and it’s totally easy to avoid by just staying on his side/behind him. I’ve never gotten hit by a charge yet, should not be an issue for you.
Picking you up and throwing you
This seems to happen randomly and sometimes you’ll take damage, sometimes you won’t. It’s pretty random. But I’ve never died to it, so if you get picked up don’t freak out, just have your hand ready to pop heals/potions/invul if necessary.
